04/06/2020 - 05/04/2020Friend Flock: Check In & Hang Out
More than ever, youth need a warm, welcoming space to land as families, schools, and social systems weather the winds of uncertainty COVID-19 has stirred up. Our youth need a place to connect, talk and just be!
Friend Flocks are places for youth to:
- Process the life changes and new challenges they are navigating
- Find community, connection and common ground with their peers
- Share ideas, routines and motivations to keep positive
- Create a plan to stay balanced and connected throughout the week
Meeting once a week with youth from the same grade-level, flocks will gather for an hour to talk, listen, offer and receive support under the guidance of Karen O’Dougherty.
Location: Zoom Conferencing online (free)
Group Size: 6-10 youth
Session Structure: One hour sessions on Mondays, starting April 6th (time TBD once flocks are formed). Sessions may be offered beyond April, if appropriate.
Cost: First session is FREE! Then $15 per session, paid by month. Scholarships and payment plans available.
